Celebrating 50 Years of Advancing Women in Law
This year, the Association for Women Lawyers is revamping its annual meeting to recognize and honor the 50 years of our organization’s existence. We invite you to join us for a half-day event, as detailed below. While we hope everyone can join us for the full event, you are welcome to instead register for just the morning or luncheon, if that suits your calendar better. This milestone event will bring together trailblazers, thought leaders, and legal professionals for a day of learning, inspiration, and vision for the future. Please join us!

Panel 1: Leadership, Purpose, & Longevity: Women Leading the Legal Profession
This panel features past AWL presidents—now judges, managing partners, and institutional leaders—who will discuss what it takes to build a meaningful and enduring legal career, and how to lead even when circumstances make it difficult to do so. Attendees will gain insights on personal sustainability and leadership evolution, and ideas on how to deal with difficult personalities, a challenging workload, and personal changes. This CLE is ideal for those seeking inspiration and practical tools to lead with intention. The panel is moderated by Renee Nawrocki, and we are excited to welcome past presidents Judge Jean DiMotto, Susan Lovern, Laura Kwaterski, Catherine Priebe, Jennifer Allen as panelists. (Eligible for 1.0 Wisconsin LAU credit).

Panel 2: Practicing Ethically in the Age of AI: What Every Lawyer Needs to Know
Presenters Ashley Farrell and Sarah Alt will explore the ethical implications of using AI in the legal profession. Topics include confidentiality, bias, accuracy, and the lawyer's duty of competence under Wisconsin SCR Ch. 20. Come ready to challenge assumptions and learn how to navigate emerging technology ethically and responsibly. (Eligible for 1.0 Wisconsin EPR credit).
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Annual Meeting Luncheon
Recently retired Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Ann Walsh Bradley will present a keynote address to our members. President Lauren Maddente will introduce AWL’s Strategic Plan and a forecast for the future of AWL. We will also present awards to our award winners, and the AWL Foundation will present its scholarship winners.

Wisconsin CLE credit will be applied for as noted above.
Paid parking will be available in the parking garage adjacent to the Milwaukee Athletic Club. Parking is not included with registration.
